This is a long term client of the company. As is common in the New Town area of Edinburgh, a lot of the Original Lath & Plaster Ceilings are Cracking and Falling due to Wear & Tear. The cause of damage is 'Gradually Operated Cause' - Therefore not an Insured Peril. In actual fact this is the third ceiling we have replaced at this property. This one in particular had extensive cracking due to recent movement and our client wanted it replaced before it fell down and potentially injured someone. Our client is quite elderly and asked us to move all of his belongings for him which we did whilst also protecting his property, especially the wallpaper as it was over 50 years old and in extremely good condition.
